Smash and Boom collide in 2013 Conexus Provincial Volleyball Championships for 13U Women

The Saskatoon Smash and the Saskatoon Boom finished off a great weekend of volleyball with an exciting three set final.  The Smash took the provincial championship with a 13-25, 25-14, 15-9 victory on Saturday night.  Both teams went undefeated in preliminary matches and won their pools, advancing to the medal matches along with the Regina QCVC Impact and  the Regina QCVC Spikez.  The Boom defeated the Spikez in one semi-final while the Smash defeated the Impact.  The Impact, who won a close preliminary match over the Regina QCVC Storm 28-26, 23-25, 15-10 to finish in the top two in their pool, ultimately won the Bronze Medal with a three set victory over the Spikez.   Ile-a-la-Crosse TNT Volleyball, who made the five hour trip south to attend the event, finished fourth in their pool and eventually eight in the event after a three set loss to the Battleford Rage in the seventh place match.  The Regina QCVC Storm claimed fifth with another three set victory, this one over the Saskatoon Wave.

Congratulations and thank you to all teams who participated in the 2013 Conexus Provincial Volleyball Championships.
